An unusual cause of cardioembolic stroke: isolated left ventricular noncompaction.

To the Editor:We thank Dr. Fazio et al for evaluating our article, "An Unusual Cause of Car-dioembolic Stroke: Isolated Left Ventricular Noncompaction," published in the March 2008 issue of The Neurologist. We agree with most of their comments on the report, which addresses the relationship between noncompaction and low risk of embolic stroke. However, we think that presenting some information on the basis of our case from the neurologic point of view, but not from the cardiologic point of view, introduces several differences.
