Isolated Pediatric Peripheral Vascular Injury Caused by Blunt Trauma: A New Occurrence

Pediatric peripheral vascular injuries are uncommon, accounting for 2% of all pediatric injuries. The causes include iatrogenic, penetrating, and blunt trauma, the incidence varying with age. Previously reported vascular injuries caused by blunt trauma have always been associated with orthopedic or crush injury. This report details a case of pediatric peripheral vascular injury without orthopedic or crush injury.
