Extradural Hematoma of the Clivus, Not Limited to the Severely Injured Patient: Case Report and Review of the Literature

Posttraumatic extradural hemorrhage in the posterior fossa is quite uncommon. Extradural hematoma of the retroclivus is extremely rare and is usually found in severely injured patients.1"4 This type of lesion, like all lesions in the posterior fossa, is not easily detected by computed tomography (CT) scan because of bony artifacts and is better demonstrated on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
