Pityriasis rosea-like drug eruption related to rituximab treatment

Dear Editor,A 63-year-old woman presented with a 3-week history of a skin eruption on the trunk and extremities. Medical history revealed previous medication with rituximab (375 mg/m2) for the treatment of extranodal MALT lymphoma (marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue) 2 weeks before the eruption. On physical examination, we observed bright red erythematous, variably-sized, oval-to-round patches with a peripheral collarette of desquamation confined to the trunk, limbs and arms (Fig. 1). The mucous membranes, palms and soles were unaffected.
