摘要

Narrative ethics ought to begin-and often end-with a story, but first, five briefest points of re-orientation.Narrative ethics asks first what the problem might be for patients and their families, not for health care professionals and institutions. This shift in perspective does not devalue professional or institutional problems, but it does mark the need for a complementary form of ethics, proceeding from a different point of view.
