In tropical and subtropical climates, the productivity and adaptability of crossbred cows are adversely influenced by climatic variables for long periods causing thermal stress, and so depress the performance of cattle. Many housing and management practices are available through which climatic impact on livestock can be reduced. Beede and Collier (1986) suggested physical modification of the environment and nutritional management as two basic management schemes for reducing the effects of thermal stress. A comprehensive study involving different housing systems simultaneously with feed treatment can bring out more valid information. So, the present study was aimed to findout the performance of crossbred cows under different systems of housing fed with electrolyte supplemented feeds.
