Effect of environmental factors on performance of Holstein Friesian cattle

摘要

The introduction of superior European dairy inheritance to raise the initial level of production followed by inter breeding among crossbreds and multi trait selection would be the only alternative for enhancing milk production and reproductive efficiency in our cattle more rapidly. Comparatively large volume of data are available on crosses between exotic and indigenous cattle in view to study improvement in milk yield and other desirable characters. Jersey and Holstein Friesian are the breeds of choice for tropical countries.
