The viability of pig farming depends much on the managemental and health care practices. One of the common diseases that reduces the efficiency of swine production is sarcoptic mange. Sarcoptic mange in pigs is widespread in swine industry (Cargill and Davies, 1999) Parenteral Ivermectin has been reported to be highly effective against sarcoptic mange (Sudhan and Azmi, 1988) with an additional advantage of complete elimination of gastro-intestinal nematodes, The present paper deals with the occurrence of sarcoptic mange in Landrace pigs and the efficacy of Ivermectin in treating the condition.
