Demand for polyester in China recovers

Polyester prices slightly moved up in China recently,as a clear sign that they possibly bottomed ;out after reaching very i Iow levels.With SARS outbreak apparently declining,demand for polyester fibres and j yarns is possibly back.Prices of polyester staple fibres finally rose from the level of 8,000 r yuan per ton reached 'at the beginning of May 2003.Depending on local markets and qualities,PSF prices were up about 400 yuan per ton in the past seven days.
