Towards Healthy Organizations: The Use of Organization Development in Academic Libraries

Organization development or "OD." Do academic libraries have ODprograms or use OD tools and techniques? To what extent is thisoccurring and what resources, human and financial are beingexpended? Do libraries call it OD, or something else? Why and howdo academic administrators use OD activities? How does ODcontribute to quality library customer service and to the "healthyorganization?" These are just some of the questions that the authorsposed to themselves, and, finally, in a research project to explore theuse of organizational development in academic libraries.
