EMR strawberry breeding programme maintains flow of commercial varieties

For almost 25 years the EMR breeding programme led by Dr David Simpson has generated a succession of commercial cultivars for a wide range of uses throughout the industry. Speaking at the recent BIFGA Technical Day at Bewl Water, David Simpson updated members on the more recent introductions coming from his current work, funded by the HDC, DEFRA, Meiosis, the EM Trustees and the BBSRC.
