Organics - demand is still strong

Despite it being an expensive alternative to conventional food, a significant proportion of the nation believed in the notion that organic was healthier than conventional food and many voted with their wallets. As a result, enquires started flooding into the certification bodies from growers wishing to convert. The process was long and strict, and potentially expensive, but that was how it should be said the organic movement. Largely lead by the Soil Association, growers started to convert and good quality English produce appeared on the supermarkets shelves. But although most people have heard what the Soil Association has had to say on organics, some of the other certification bodies have done great work which often goes unnoticed. Here, The Commercial Greenhouse Grower gives some of them the chance to speak out.
