Aromia moschata (Linnaeus) (Cerambycidae), recent Irish record and other Coleoptera from south-west Ireland

On 7 September 2012 I was on a university field trip to Killarney National Park. Whilst walking the paths of the national park a fellow student found a large beetle and gave it to me. I recognised it as Aromia moschata (Linnaeus) - a great find to show fellow students and lecturers and a very rare species in Ireland. Also from Killarney National Park I took Quedius picipes (Mannerheim) (Staphylinidae), a rare species in Ireland.
