The classic stereotypical environmental campaigner might be characterised as a crusty-haired university drop-out called Swampy,completed with a dog on a length of string and several unsightly piercings.As so often,this can be a long way from the truth.Today,campaigners for greater corporate environmental responsibility are just as likely to be suited-and-booted investment managers directing billions of dollars of Wall Street and City cash,and without a piercing or a mongrel in sight.
