North America leads race to CCS

THE US and Canada are powering ahead in the race to develop a large-scale CCS project, according to a report from Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF). The analyst group looked at 24 projects throughout the world, and found those based in North America to be significantly outperforming their European competitors. It ranks Air Products' Port Arthur demonstration plant in Texas, US, as the 'most advanced' in the world, followed by the Boundary Dam power plant in Saskatchewan, Canada.
