摘要

Graphene has been a subject of intense recent studies from both experimental and theoretical points of view because of its unique structural and electronic properties that include the highest intrinsic carrier mobility at room temperature of all known materials and very high mechanical strength and thermal stability. in addition, its unique electronic properties, other properties such as high thermal, chemical, and mechanical stability as well as high surface area also represent desirable characteristics as two-dimensional (2-D) support layers for metallic and bimetallic nanoparticles in heterogeneous catalysis.
