MPEG-4 DRAM LSI

摘要

Toshiba Corp. developed a mixed DRAM LSI corresponding to the MPEG-4 oriented to a next generation of cellular phone called the IMT-2000 in which the 3GPP-3G-324 standard is used as a means of implementing the TV phone functions. Traditionally, four LSIs were used to implement these functions: MPEG-4 video LSI, voice DSP, demultiplexing logic, and DRAM. The new LSI is the world's first MPEG-4 DRAM LSI mixed with video and audio features that introduces a multiprocessor architecture assuming a mixed DRAM and a 0.25%m CMOS processor to implement the functions on a single chip.
