TRANS Tasman Resources (TTR) has received a second JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate equivalent to 200 million tonnes at a grade of 60% iron concentrate for its extensive iron sands project off the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The new estimate includes 130 million tonnes in the inferred class and 70 million tonnes in the indicated class The new estimate completed by independent geological consultants Golders Associates is almost double the December 2010 inferred resource of 102 million tonnes but still comes from a very small proportion of TTR's licensed, area.
