Well-known adventure runner Richard Bowles has his sights set on a new fast-time record for the 1,200 km Heysen Trail in May 2014, and Nixon Communications and Sargent Rental & Maintenance have ottered their support through sponsorship of the event. Rii hard and his support crew will set out from Parachilna Gorge on Sunday 4 May, and plan to hit Cape jervis on 17 May. This will more than halve the current 30-day record on the Heysen, and will see Richard running an average of 86 km every day.
