BASF to Build Acrylic Acid and SAP Complex in Brazil

BASF has confirmed plans announced earlier this year that it plans to invest in a world-scale acrylic acid, butyl acrylate and superabsorbent polymers (SAP) manufacturing complex in Brazil. The company has selected the Cama?ari site for the investment. The new complex, which will require an investment in excess of ?500 million, will be the first acrylic acid and SAP manufacturing facilities in South America.
