After buying some chives and parsley seeds and not knowing the first thing about gardening, I asked my wife where she wanted me to plant them. She replied that they should be placed into a seed pot to encourage good germination (Photo.1). This allowsthem to be transplanted in time into the ground without damaging their roots. Searching the Internet, I found methods for making seed pots from newspaper. This is both cheap and ecologically friendly. All that is required to make them is a mould to formthem and some strips of newspaper.
