Arkema says it plans to triple capacity at Changshu, China for the company'sRilsan biosourced nylon-11 and Rilsamid nylon-12 engineering plastics. The project involves construction of a production line with 6,000 m.t./year of polymerization capacity. The new unit is scheduled to start operating in the first half of 2012 and reach full capacity by summer 2013. The investment is designed to meet rapidly growing demand in Asia from the automotive and energy markets, Arkema says.
