Jurong Aromatics restart hinges on safety, feedstock availability

Eforts by Jurong Aromatics Corp. (JAC; Singapore) to restart its production plant could be derailed by safety requirements and low feedstock availability, IHS Chemical has learned. JAC may resume operations at its 100,000-bbl/day splitter in July, subject to the gov- ernment’s approval, trader sources say. They add that feedstock for the splitter—which includes heavy, full-range naphtha and condensate— was due to be fowing into Singapore from June.
