The production complex of Jurong Aromatics Corp. (JAC; Singapore) has been cleared for restart by local authorities, but the move dampens the outlook for Asia’s petrochemical spot market, says IHS Chemical director/market services Ashish Pujari. Singapore’s ministry of man- power has lifted its stop-work order on JAC, and the country's civil defense force has given clearance for JAC's tanks after the company demonstrated that its fre-fghting system is in good working order fol- lowing a fre that broke out on 20 April.
