Taiyo Oil Starts Test Operation at New TAU

Taiyo Oil Company started test operations this month at the transalkylation unit (TAU, 10,000 barrels per day), a newly built unit in the BTX producing facility in Shikoku Plant. If the tests go without troubles, commercial operations are to start in November. TAU is a facility to produce mixed xylene (MX) and benzene from toluene and/or similar raw materials.
