Japan's Taiyo Oil schedules TAU turnaround in July

Japan’s Taiyo Oil will shut its Kikuma transalkylation unit (TAU) unit for a scheduled turnaround from 3 July to 8 August this year, a company source said on Tuesday. The company’s TDP unit is able to produce 200,000 tonnes/year benzene while the company has a separate benzene unit of 100,000 tonnes/year which will be running on reduced operating rates at around 50% during the same period.
