Major Metallurgical Coal Projects In Mozambique (Part 2) Minas Moatize Expansion Project

The Minas Moatize is the existing coal mine in Tete Province, and thermal coal for the domestic is produced by small-scale underground mining at present. Beacon Hill Resources of UK owns 100% interest in that coal mine through its subsidiary BHR Mining. The temporary coal handling and preparation plant started operation in late June, 2011 at the Minas Moatize coal mine. With this, value added coal for export after cleaning becomes producible. Incidentally, coal produced at that coal mine was delivered to the domestic customers without cleaning until then.
