The ocean-going coal-carrier meant for Haramachi Thermal Power Plant Of Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. arrived at the port of Haramachi on November 19 for the first time after East Japan Earthquake Disaster. 88,000 tons of Australian coal was carried by Tohoku's large-size coal carrier, “Haramachi Maru”, and is scheduled to be burnt for Haramachi Unit #2 (output: 1,000 MW) which is now in trial operation.
