GVK Hancock Coal Appoints Thiess as Contractor

GVK Hancock Coal, Australia has appointed Thiess Pty Ltd. as a contractor for Alpha project, a large-scale thermal coal project in the Galilee Basin in the State of QLD. Accordingly, Thiess will take charge of coal mine development and its operation for Alpha project for 10 years to come. Alpha project aims to exploit Alpha surface mining area, an unexplored thermal coal mining area within the Galilee Basin, and export thermal coal produced at this mining area to India, etc.. GVK Hancock Coal has a 100% interest in this project.
