Minas Moatize coal mine is a small-scale coal mine in the Tete Province and Beacon Hill Resources plc, UK has a 100% interest in this coal mine. Expansion Phase 2A for a coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) at this coal mine was completed in April 2013, and the production capacity of raw coal went up to 1.8Mtpa from 600,000 tons in a year.
