The Moatize project is to develop the Moatize open-pit coal mine located 1,700 km north of Maputo, the capital city of Mozambique in Tete Province, and to export hard coking coal and so on produced at that mine to Brazil, India, Europe, Japan, China, and so forth. Vale of Brazil owns 100% interest in that coal mine.
