Mexico extends review of PPG-Comex deal

PPG Industries says Mexico's competition commission is extending the deadline for its review of PPG's proposed s $2.3-billion acquisition of Consorcio Comex, S.A. de C.V. (Comex). Without the extension, Mexico’s Federal Economic Competition Commission would have to rule on deal within the "coming days." PPG announced the definitive agreement with Comex on 30 June, and at the time indicated that it expected a 4-6-month regulatory review timeline.
