The usage of this language is the essential framework for documentation standardization in the operating room. This article explores 2 specific patient outcomes and how the usage of the PNDS helps guide actions taken by registered nurses in the operating room. Furthermore, this article gives a brief overview of the history of the PNDS, and how this language helps improve nursing outcomes and promotes the profession of nursing.
