The V-Y quadricepsplasty is 1 technique that permits adequate exposure of the knee without injury to the patellar tendon and tibial tubercle and lengthens the quadriceps tendon when needed. The potential disadvantage is that, postopera-tively, the rehabilitation program needs to be modified, and there is the possibility of quadriceps weakness and extensor lag.
