Orion spacecraft utilises NCFI foam

Mount Airy, North Carolina - NASA has incorporated spray polyurethane foam insulation from North Carolina Foam Industries (NCFI) into the Orion spacecraft. The spacecraft was successfully launched on the 5 December 2014, the first such take-off since the Space Shuttle program ended. NCFI said the spacecraft, which was unmanned, went 3,600 miles (5,800 km) into space at speeds of up to 20,000mph (32,000 km/h) and experienced temperatures of up to 4,000°F (2200'C).
