Thank you for your important comments. In our study, the puncture was performed by the_operating urologist. We believe that the operating urologist is the most suitable person for making a puncture into the appropriate calix, because the urologist has a complete understanding of the intrarenal pelvicaliceal anatomy and the percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedure. When the working channel was dilated to 16F, an 8/9.8F rigid ureteroscope was routinely inserted to identify the tract of entry into the collecting system, just as was used in "minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy."
