New Isopropanol Production Process Developed by Jinzhou Petrochemical Co.

In November 2007 the Jinzhou Petrochemical Design Institute and the Research Institute of Jinzhou Petrochemical Company have cooperated in developing the PDP of the 100 kt/a isopropanol unit, and testing and laboratory verification of key sections. Compared to the existing isopropanol technology, this new technology can increase the once through isopropanol yield by 10%, reduce the material consumption by 5% and the overall energy consumption by 49.2%
