摘要

This article gives a perspective of containment of high potency materials in the pharmaceutical industry. It relates to airborne powder inhalation during dispensing and loading of powders in the early stages of tablet manufacture. Some data is provided For installations considered to be good practice. An indication of airborne powder levels from historical data for different containment approaches is given. The differences between the historical data and best practice are discussed. References for equipment performance testing and more detailed equipment information are provided.
