We think of a handful of people who are likely to lead the coal industry during the next decade - folks like Paul Vining, John Eaves and John Tellmann. One of those leaders is poised to make his mark on a new stage. Foundation Coal Holdings revealed that Tellmann, senior vice president of Sales & Marketing, resigned his post, effective immediately. We'll be anxious to see where the next road leads John, one of the most articulate and knowledgeable executives in the industry. Tellmann joined Foundation in February 2000. Since that time, he has been a key factor in the company's growth and development as a public firm. Few know the Appalachian coalfields as intimately as does John, whose expertise extends as well to the West and indeed throughout the global coal industry. Scott Pack, one of the industry's brightest young stars, vice president of Sales & Marketing at Foundation, will assume the day-to-day responsibilities of the position on an interim basis.
