At least for the first half of the new year, relative stability is pretty much anticipated. Weakness that may crop up, perhaps in the raw headless category, should be temporary. As the New Year is rung in, it is useful to look back to see where we have been, where we are, and what we might expect to see ahead in the shrimp market during 2011. Clearly, the single most important issue faced in 2010 was the continuing global recession. While the green shoots of recovery and growth have been seen in someemerging markets, much of Europe, and particularly the US, are still showing signs of a slow recovery, at best.
