Almost two thirds of respondents to a survey at this week's RISI 26th Annual North American Forest Products Conference in San Diego said "the economy is in recession or will be within the next 12 months," according to StepChange Consulting. Of those believing in a double-dip recession, about one fourth (28%) said that the economy "never recovered from the last recession," while 14% believe the US economy is already in a recession, and 21% "are sure that there is going to be another recession." However, what StepChange called a "remarkable" was that 38% of respondents answered "that we will not see another recession."
