Sheet prices softened in the US Northeast, East Central, and West Coast, and rose slightly in the South and North Central, according to the latest Pulp & Paper Week survey conducted last month. The increases in two regions and decreases in three regions were based on pricing for the fourth quarter of 2013 vs third quarter 2013. Using 32 ECT sheet prices as the barometer, prices fell 4A% in the Northeasi, 6% in the East Central, and 4.7% in the West, when compared to prices published in the Sept. 20 PPI Pulp & Paper Week survey. The South's increase was 4.8% while North Central pricmg rose 3.3%.
