Corrugated sheet prices sink in two US regions

Sheet prices softened in the US North Central and the West Coast regions but were stable in the Northeast, East Central and the South, according to the latest PPI Pulp & Paper Week survey conducted earlier this month. The changes were based on pricing for the first quarter of 2014 vs fourth quarter 2013. Using 32 ECT sheet prices as the barometer, prices fell 6.3% in the North Central and 6.8% in the West when compared to prices published in the Jan. 10 Pulp & Paper Week survey.
