Pratt provides 16 recycling units to New York City for supplying Staten Island

Pratt Industries, a 100% recycled-content containerboard producer and America's fifth largest corrugated packaging manufacturer, donated 16 solar-powered paper recycling units to New York City and will gain recovered paper from the units for its container-board mill in Staten Island. The units, which cost several thousand dollars apiece, are now collecting paper rc-cyclables at highly-trafficked intersections in Lower Manhattan. A significant portion, but not the majority, of the recovered paper collected in New York City runs through Pratt's Staten Island mill, said Pratt Industries recycling div pres Myles Cohen.
