摘要

The experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of nitrogen and phosphorus levels on growth and seed production of calendula. The number of seeds per flower head, number of seeds per plant, seed yield and seed, test weight increased significantly as the quantum of nitrogen was increased from N_0 -N_2. The highest yield was recorded by 32.59 g nitrogen /m~2 and 50 g phosphorus /m~2 respectively. The interaction between nitrogen and phosphorus levels showed that maximum yield was recorded with N_2 P_2 (150 kg N /ha + 80 kg P /ha) followed by N_3 P_2 (200 kg N/ha + 80 kg P /ha and least significant effect was shown by N_0 P_0 (control). The treatments N_2 P_2 also showed highest C: B ratio and net returns.
