Ideal time to plant fruit trees

Agro-climatic conditions of the state are suitable for cultivation of different types of fruits. There are 3 distinct zones: submontane zone, central zone and arid -irrigated zone. Citrus and guava fruits are recommended for cultivation throughout thestate whereas mango, litchi, pear, peach and plum are suitable for submontane zone. In central zone, pear, peach, guava and plum are main fruits. Kinnow, other citrus fruits, grapes and ber are grown successfully in the arid-irrigated zone. In kandi area, guava, ber, mango and amla and in bet area, pear, plum, guava and ber are recommended for plantation. Besides climatic conditions, there are other important factors which determine the success and failure of fruit plants. These are as under:
