It is easy to read China any which way one wants.For there are many China's-just as there are many India's.While the dichotomy is evident in many spheres,it is particularly telling in the chemical industry.Along with the sheen and glitter of the modern landscapes that dot the skyline of emerging cities such as Shanghai,there is the grime of industrial towns that are no different from the ones that many in India are used to.
