Haldia Petro, Reliance up polymer prices for third time in two months

Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. (HPL) has incresed polymer prices across the board from April 3 on the back of hardening international prices and improved demand. The upward revision has been made on all grades of polypropylene (PP), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and low linear density polyethylene (LLDPE), by Rs. 1500 to Rs. 2000 per tonne. PP prices have been revised upward by Rs. 2000, while that of HDPE and LLDPE have been increased by Rs. 1500 per tonne. Average PP price now rules at around REs. 40,750, while that of HDPE and LLDPE ar Rs. 42,000 and Rs. 41,000 respectively. This is the third revision made by HPL in the last two months. The prices of all PP grades have gone up by Rs. 5,500 between February-April. For HDPE, the hiki has been Rs. 4,800 and for all grades of LLDPE the increase was Rs. 4,700/
