The investigations were conducted in 2008. Effective microorganisms (EM), i.e. agents EM-A and EM-5 were added to PDA medium. Tested EM were applied alone and together (EM-A+EM-5). Control consisted medium with no EM added. Diameter of the T. harzianum colonies were measured after 2 and 4 days and sporulation of the fungus was determined 6 days after medium inoculation. The agents: EM-A and EM-5 applied together at a concentration of 100 mg/cm3 completely inhibited the development of T. harzianum. A strong inhibitory action reducing growth of the analyzed pathogen was recorded in the case of agents EM-A at a concentration of 100 mg/cm3 PDA and EM-A+EM-5 at a concentration of 50 mg/cm3. Inhibition of fungal growth was significant, and 4 days after medium inoculation it was 89.8% and 86.4%, respectively. At the same time sporulation of the fungus was significantly reduced.
