Preliminary estimation of susceptibility of various pea cultivars (Pisum sativum L.) to thrips (Thysanoptera) infestation and feeding.

Among the evaluated pea cultivars, the highest number of thrips collected using the sweep net method during the whole vegetation period was detected on Hazard F₁, Demon F₁ and Maraton F₁. The highest level of infestation of class I pods (damaged surface area of 0.5%) was observed on Maraton F₁ and Polar F₁, while the lowest number was evident on Baron F₁ and Hetman F₁. The number of pods damaged by feeding thrips was highest on Hetman F₁ and Baron F₁.
